The Subconscious Mind
Have you ever wondered why sometimes you
struggle to achieve the things you want to do, while other people appear
to float easily toward the accomplishment of their goals? Do you think
that is an accident? Every human being has the power within them to align
their energy with their true heart's desire, and that includes you.
Your heart's desire is within you; somewhere
inside, you already know what it is even if you haven't yet acknowledged
it in your conscious mind. Connect with that, and put your focus directly
upon achieving what you desire, rather than wasting your time and
energy thinking about what someone else is doing.
Your subconscious mind is the greatest
single tool you have to help you achieve whatever you want in life. The
reason so many books and self-improvement tapes say you already have
everything you need to achieve whatever your heart desires is because
it is true; your subconscious mind is the key to it all -- the key to
the treasure chest within you.
In much the same way that a rider sitting
upon a horse's back directs the focus and movements, the speed and
direction of the horse she is riding, your conscious mind directs the
focus and direction of the energy enacted by your subconscious mind --
whether you are aware of it or not. It is happening every minute of every
day, during moments of sleep as well as when you are awake.
A person who is unaware of this universal
truth, however, is like someone sleepwalking through life -- unaware of
the direction his/her energies may be going. Such a person can often feel
like a victim, someone to whom bad things "just happen" or for whom good
things "just never seem to work out." None of us are merely victims,
however, unless we make ourselves the target of our own stinky thinking.
If you would eliminate the negative elements in your life, begin by
refusing to spend your time thinking and talking about them. Do not give
your power away by giving your focus over to those negative elements.
Instead, focus your time and energy on the
positive things you want to bring about in your life. Spend your time
thinking and talking about that; do it every day, and your subconscious
mind will reward you by guiding supportive energy to you so that you can
accomplish the things you want. That positive reinforcement may come to
you in varied, unexpected ways. It may be an advertisement you find in a
paper you seldom read, but suddenly feel the urge to pick up and glance
through. It may come to you through the encouraging words of friends or
social contacts who recognize your ability.
The possibilities are endless, which you
will soon discover once you have given a new set of orders to your
subconscious mind. Make your positive directions to your subconscious
that last thing you think about as you fall asleep at night, and the first
thing you think about when you wake up in the morning. Start your day by
consciously sending mental pictures of that desired result to yourself
as you eat breakfast, and every time you open your mouth to eat something
throughout the day use that as an opportunity to remind yourself about the
goal to wish to achieve.
