Have you ever had the experience of needing to wake up by a certain time in the morning, and your body's clock awakened you about five minutes before your alarm was set to go off? Or have you ever dropped off to sleep wondering how you were going to solve some problem, and then woke up knowing exactly what to do to solve the problem? Did you think you did that all on your own? You didn't -- you had the cooperation of your subconscious mind to bring these things about.
Your subconscious mind controls all the vital processes of your body, and knows the answers to all problems. Before you go to sleep, repeat a specific request to your subconscious mind at least three times -- and wait for the answer. Make sure you use this time right before sleep wisely, as it is a rich and fertile time for your conscious mind to program your subconscious mind. Entertain only those thoughts you want to impress upon your creative intelligence to bring about something good.
If your thoughts have been keeping you awake at night, it may be good to recall that all frustration is due to unfulfilled desires. Dwelling on what you lack will not solve the problem, and may actually increase the lack you presently experience precisely because that is what you are focusing your attention upon. If you are preoccupied with obstacles, delays, challenges, and difficulties, your subconscious will respond accordingly by bringing you more of what you are spending so much time and energy thinking about. In this way, you are actually blocking your own good from ever reaching you.
You may have studied in school the physical principle that "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." There is also a Universal Law of action and reaction; your conscious thought is action, and the automatic response of your subconscious mind is reaction. If you imagine your happy ending, or the solution to your problem, and feel it as already accomplished, then what you imagine and feel will be accepted by your subconscious mind and made manifest in reality.
If you feel thwarted in achieving your life's goal or purpose, then remember you have that inner desire for a reason. Affirm your own life principle by saying to yourself, "I believe that my creative intelligence gave me this desire for a reason, and I would not have this sense of purpose if I did not have the ability to bring it about. My creative intelligence is now fulfilling this purpose through me." Affirming your life principles to your subconscious dissolves any conflicts you may have. Your subconscious mind will faithfully reproduce your habitual thinking.
Feed your subconscious mind with thoughts of harmony, health, peace, and accomplishment of your life's purpose, and all functions of your body will restore themselves to a state of equilibrium. Recommended Reading: The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Dr. Joseph Murphy
