Buy on Sale - Save Money

If you are patient or plan ahead using the following sale calendar you can find just about anything you want on sale.  You can also use internet online comparison shopping sites such as PriceGrabber.com, Bizrate.com, PriceScan.com and Mysimon.com to compare prices and search for a bargain online.  Use more than one site to get the best results.

To find sales in stores keep the following month by month sales calendar in mind.  For seasonal items look at the beginning of the season when retailers are trying to jumpstart sales and, even better, at the end of the season when they need to make room for fresh product.

Don’t forget to visit store discount tables and scratch and dent sections.  Stay alert to sales by reading the newspaper and searching the internet for bargains.  If you find something you really want to have, start with a Google search adding the word “bargain, sale, or discount” at the end of the search term.  Do your own comparison shopping and save.  Make your own sale.  Ask the salespeople if they can do better on the price, ask for free delivery or a free upgrade, and as a last resort ask when the next sale will be.  Whatever you do, buy based on the net price and the value to you not the percentage off.  Watch out for sales deceptions.
